Oke, Heather ini salah satu tokoh rekaan Meg Cabot. I love this character, she is a great heroine. Heather ini mewakili karakter-karakter wanita modern yang mandiri, bersemangat, namun tetap care pada sekitarnya. Keseluruhan Serial ini terdiri dari 5 buku:

1. Size 12 is Not Fat

2. Size 14 is not Fat Either

3. Big Bones

4. Size 12 and ready to rock

5. The bride wore size 12

Aku belum punya seri ke-3nya sih. But overall baca loncat satu buku nggak mempengaruhi "rasanya kok ^_^ Tapi sebagai book lover yang baik, aku merasa harus ngelengkapin serial buku ini (teteup dong hunting big bones ^_^).

Yang suka baca buku detektif tapi nggak suka thriller sadis n serius, buku ini asli cucok dah buat kamu. Heather Wells ini mantan idol remaja yang karena satu dan lain hal terpaksa banting stir jadi assisten gedung tinggal di New York Collage. Di gedung tinggal inilah Heather yang mantan idol mengasah bakat detektifnya.

Ini kisah mysteri yang nggak bikin kamu merinding ketakutan hingga mengalami mimpi-mimpi seram, sebaliknya membaca keseharian heather kamu akan dibawa mengikuti kesibukan-kesibukan khas wanita lajang bekerja dengan semua intrik-intrik hidupnya, termasuk urusan memecahkan beberapa kasus pembunuhan. Tapi pembawaan Heather yang riang dan apa adanya, menjadikannya jenis detektif yang funky abis gitu deh... Seruuu sekaligus menyentuh.

Aku suka karya Meg Cabot, karena diantaranya ia kerap menyisipkan pesan moral berupa kebesaran hati, keteguhan,  perjuangan, hingga persahabatan, dan tentu saja cinta. serial Heather wells ini memiliki semuanya. Love them.

Aku memberi  3 sampai 4 bintang untuk masing-masing buku.

2 States by Chetan Bhagat, I love this book...

From the author of blockbusters Five Point Someone, One Night @ the Call Center and The 3 Mistakes of My Life, comes another witty tale about inter-community marriages in modern india.

Tahun 2014 film ini katanya dirilis. As usual, saya bukan penonton yang baik.  So, perburuan bukunya pun dimulai. Qodarullah baru nemunya beberapa minggu lalu, dan baru sempat mengkhatamkannya kemaren lusa.

2 states disinyalir khas drama Bollywood banget. But, I love 2 states. Bukan hanya karena tuturnya renyah mengalir, tapi aku suka isu yang diangkatnya. Meski kata isu klasik, jatuh cintanya dua orang yang beda adat dan kebudayaan, plus orang tua yang traditional minded banget, kisah ini tetap menyentuh dengan caranya sendiri. 

Krish dan Ananya, bukan tipe orang-orang yang jatuh cinta dengan buta sehingga bisa menikah berdua saja. Mereka ingin menikah dengan restu dari semua keluarga besar mereka. Hal yang mungkin sangat menyentil untuk masyarakat modern era ini.  Di mana orang tua boleh setuju atau tidak setuju, but the wedding still going on.

Jatuh bangunnya mereka meyakinkan pihak keluarga masing-masing akan pilihan cintanya, juga cara Krish yang (menurutku) cukup gentle menempatkan cinta antara kekasih hati dan ibunya,  atau sikap Ananya yang memilih kehormatan ayah ibunya ketimbang cintanya,are so...so...so...so...heart touching.

Anyway, lepas kamu pecinta Bollywood atau bukan, aku sih recommended buku ini. Kamu yang mau menikah, atau kamu yang sudah menikah, nggak rugi kok baca buku ini...!
